God has no religion

I went to a temple called Triyambkeshwar which is one of the 12 jotirlings of Shivji. One of the most heart breaking things was that there was a Notice board outside the temple which said "Only Hindu's are permitted to enter" I mean I always thought we are a Secular country what right on planet these guys have to write on the walls of an auspicious place. This really made me sad though. The temple is beautifully constructed and I was really awed by the cemetery of the arches and the accurate replicating of the pattern throughout. When I went for darshan this guy kept shouting in my ears "sar neechey lagao" (WTF) as if I dont know to how to offer prayers :(. However to my dilemma the place is not maintained by the trust as you could smell stinking water in the auspicious bathing pond, rotting flower which no one bothered to clear. I was wondering if that's what Poor God wanted, to be left in such unhygienic conditions. The Janitors brooming right into your face. Just because they work in a temple does not mean that they ignore the human beings who patiently wait for the darshan of the almighty!

We took rest for couple of hours, took shower and traveled 90 km to Shirdi. I have seen the weirdest people believe in the prowess of a mystic. This was my maiden trip to Shirdi, these places are commercialize to the core and more so everyone was bothered about how they could just get a glimpse of Sai Baba. No one even bothered to look around for kids or expecting mothers and made sarcastic comments about why is she walking slowly and why kids are running around (for a moment I lost it) that even in places like this ppl cant display lil bit of patience. When finally I get to see baba I was so charged to offer my prayers but this pujari kept telling "aagey sey darshan karoo". I really wish everyone could come to such places with a pure heart.

Am a lil disoriented about my experience at both these religious places.

I felt religion is one of the biggest businesses in India. I was very uneasy though I prayed with my heart but I felt am better off with my spirituality wherein I do things at my own time and pace. No one to tell me how to offer my prayers nor someone to make remarks while waiting for the runs to get a glimpse of almighty.

Am glad I went coz yeh bhi mera Bharat hain na!!!

Lastly ending this post my way i.e the filmy way few lines from one of my favorite song:

“Ishwar Allah terey jahan main nafrat kyoun hain jung hain kyoun,
Tera dil toh itna bada hain insaan ka dil Tang hain kyoun”
