Dawn of the 2010: We truly Miss you

You were the best dad of the world, meant the world to us. We 3 are very proud of you Papa. This post is only one of your favourite songs which for us truly described you and your attitude towards life.

Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar
Kisika dard mil sake to le udhaar
Kisike waaste ho tere dil mein pyaar
Jeena issi ka naam hai

Maana apni jeb se fakeer hain
Phir bhi yaaron dil ke ham ameer hain
Mitte jo pyaar ke liye woh zindagi
Jale bahaar ke liye woh zindagi
Kisi ko ho na ho hamein to aitbaar
Jeena issi kaa naam hai

Rishta dil se dil ke aitbaar ka
Zinda hai hameen se naam pyaar ka
Ke mar ke bhi kisi ko yaad aayenge
Kisi ke aansuon mein muskuraayenge
Kahega phool har kali se baar baar
Jeena issi kaa naam hai
Kisiki muskuraahaton pe ho nisaar..

and you truly were and are alive while you lived on.

The God who failed: 13 December 2010

13 December 2010 : We still can't believe YOU are gone!!! The pillar of strength in our family has left for heaven. All that remains are memories of good times we had, be it the anniversaries, birthdays, festivals, weddings in the family, endless dancing sessions with him just 3 of us and mommy getting all angry, weekend outings and watching all the first day evening shows for any Friday release. Unlimited Cricket matches we watched and hooted for India, or everytime Mughal-e-azam was telecasted you would narate each scene, the background score, dialogue. Stories about your school and college teachers, to the minutest details. The fun we had was unlimited and brings a smile to all our faces when we think about it. You taught us to follow our hearts no matter what the world says. We committed mistakes and he said it’s fine but learn from them. In tough times, we fought back and were brave coz he always believed in leading by examples. The smile on his face never left and so was his faith in goodness. He was the only man I saw in my life who prayed for the souls of the loved ones to rest in peace. Most of the time he spent shopping, was for all 4 of us, never ever he bought fancy any cloth, watch, perfume, pair of shoes for himself. Lead a simple life but had an open mind, traveled the world yet was a modest and humble soul. Knew a lot but never advised, he’d do so only when asked for. A man, who had an astounding impact on people, be it his immediate family, extended family, friends, neighbors or even his students. Hit by one of the worst disease of our time, he never gave in. They say it’s the “Survival of the fittest!” Here it’s the survival which led to his misery – he was tormented by this disease in his last days. He never deserved, it so for me “SOMEONE UP THERE FAILED and failed miserably!” He lived on and will be very much in our and others hearts who's life was truly touched by him. When Raaga grows up, I would love to tell Raaga stories about you Papa.
